Our little nursery, with planting boxes recycled from bullet boxes picked up from the nearby army camp.
Chicken coup constructed from one of our extra wooden double decker beds
Chooks. We had to eat them all when a durian tree from the neighbours property crashed into the fencing of the chicken run..
Small patch of food forest next to the taro culture, and under the coconut trees. It's a bit of a boggy spot in the neighbors property that has been ignored and became a breeding ground for mozzies. We decided to convert it into a small food forest for us and the neighbors and planted it with one or two trees of petai, longan, umbra, custard apple, Malay gooseberry sugarcane, and pepper. A few pigeon pea nitrogen fixers, papayas, bananas, cassava was also established. The ground was covered with pineapple, pandan, arrow root, pegaga, and sweet sweet potato cuttings. It got planted out a few moths before we moved out from the property, so it'll be interesting to go back and see how it's doing.
